Warning

Unaware of its historical context, visitors to Australia might think 'Abo' is an acceptable abbreviation for 'Aborigine' (the adjective 'Aboriginal' is also used as a noun).

'Black fella' is an acceptable alternative although it is mainly used by Aboriginals of themselves.
